Grafton is good stop for travellers.
Grafton is good stop for travellers. It's off the main motorway but easy to drop off the motorway and get back onto. The town is a quaint country town but with wonderful eaterys and old buildings.

The Jacarandas were spectacular and more so in certain streets. I checked the internet for the best photo opportunities.
Fig Tree Avenue was amazing as I’ve never seen a row of fig trees on either side of the street before.
I walked along the river and the original bridge. I’ve never seen a bridge with so many turns.
One thing I was disappointed about was the fact I’d forgotten about day light saving and I missed seeing most of the Jacaranda parade. I’m from Queensland and we don’t have it here.

Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW.
Grafton is such a beautiful town in NSW. We went there just after the Jacaranda Festival in 2024. The beautiful jacaranda trees were still flowering even though there was heavy rain the day we arrived at the town. A lot of historical buildings in town such as the Post Office, the courthouse, and the Church. The food at Flame Tree Cafe is wonderful and we loved the jacaranda ice cream. I am not sure how much jacaranda flowers in it but it tasted wonderful. We do not have much time to visit the regional gallery and it is on our next visit list. The people in town are very friendly and they greeted me when I was wandering around. We missed the Jacaranda Festival so if you are travelling with family, maybe consider coming during the festival.

Great town with all the facilities you would expect in a larger regional town. Right on the river there are some great little spots to fish, sit and look at the river and its occupants go by or have a picnic with a significant other lots to do and see around Grafton.

It was close (within walking distance to the big shopping centre) and it was simple to find.
The staff were lenient and patient and when I asked for a ground floor room she gave it to me. The shower looked nice also.

Ann and David were perfect hosts.
Ann and David were perfect hosts. I wish we had stayed here on our way to Queensland before. Would definitely recommend this B&B to my friends. The cooked breakfast was really good.
The cuppa and home made cake David made was an extra treat on our arrival.
Will stay again for sure. Ros & Keith xx

the location, it’s very convenient as it’s close to shops plus the hotel is right close to the river & the gentleman at the reception who tried his best to attend to our request to fix the unstable bed & the television which doesn’t work properly…
It was ideally placed for our weekend at Grafton for the horse races. Close to restaurants and pubs also. Loved the reception from the owner when we arrived, very welcoming. We arrived a little early, didn't matter just a phone call away.
Tv did not work and the receptionist told me continental breakfast was available the next day which was sat. Morning but the hotel did not open its doors till 10am and check out was 10
am.
