    Took 2 bikes on train.

Took 2 bikes on train. Loved exploring Geelongs bike lanes, especially out to Fyansford Pub for lunch, where the meal was fabulous 😋😋 and the ride beside the Barwon + Moorabool rivers was gorgeous including through a 'forest' of she-oaks. Had Sober Ramen in Lt Malop, with son + his partner, which was excellent value for money + 😋😋 Also found gluten free donuts in ? Bay city plaza 😋😋

Attended mosaic symposium, and most unfortunate the Geelong mosaic mural designed by state artist Harold Freeman, depicting Geelong’s history located in the State government building was not available for viewing by 200 enthusiastic mosaicers , due to foyer renovations despite discussions with one of the mural fabricators. This stopped people from all over Australia, New Zealand and a few from Europe and US viewing and sharing Geelong’s history. The Woolshed did a great job.Botanic Gardens are great

Geelong is a great city with regional feels. Great cafes and shopping, beautiful waterfront walking and gardens. You definitely need time for galleries and museums, as well as shopping and walking to the gardens along the waterfront

    The beach was nice.

The beach was nice. Although there were roadworks and it was hard to drive. We managed to reach the beach. Lots of food options especially the halal options. Coles is central, easy to reach. Petrol stations on main roads.

Easy to get around and you can walk the foreshore with pathway all the way along. The weather was rainy and very windy the whole time we were there but lots to do indoors. Fantastic eateries along the foreshore not cheap but great money for value. We were visiting family so did a bit of driving which once you got your bearings was easy to navigate.

Sherry is a very caring and thoughtful hostess. We had everything we needed and more at this lovely cottage. Very cozy and clean house. So many nice extra items that you usually don’t expect to be there, everything was there. It was plenty enough space for five of us (three adults and two children). Nice backyard. Great location close to the city center, supermarkets around the corner, Geelong waterfront etc. We have already booked Mimosa cottage for our next stay in Geelong. Highly recommended.

Close to Geelong Waterfront and city center with views of the bay. Also close to Botanical Gardens. Some people may not like the 'retro' look of the place as it hasn't had any updates since built in about 1950!! Ohh! It does have reverse cycle air con!! There is a gas heater that works very well too. However, everything works just fine anyway, and the price reflects the fact that you are not getting anything ultra-modern, but you are getting a great location!

I am so grateful to Rydges Geelong. As a disabled woman they accommodated my mobility scooter. They helped to store and charge it. I was also provided with a disability access room for my stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for people with disabilities. The staff were also kind and polite at all times.
