I stayed here for two nights. The breakfast was great. It was a good opportunity to try breakfast items made in Australia and eat many different items that were available. Only two of us travelling so it is not easy to buy them from supermarket and finished them before going to the airport. Got to try a bit of everything. I was also given a receipt that had the name and logo of the lodge printed on it (like a certificate). This is really special. I also had a great opportunity to talk to the host, Evie on the last day before I left. Although it was a casual chat, however there was a lot of information given to me to understand about Melbourne.
This property location is very handy. To the left is to the main town and restaurants, to the right is the road to the nobbies to see the penguin.

Loved all the Mediterranean influences.
Loved all the Mediterranean influences. All the Italian, Greek food and the most amazing Gelato. The beach was perfect to spend the day with the kids. They loved jumping off the Jetty.
The buzz of the main street was great.
So many activities to do and places to explore.

Cowes is great.
Cowes is great. The locals are friendly and helpful, the beaches are awesome and it is mega-bike friendly and flat. My only quibble is that in high season, the holidaymakers can be a bit annoying, especially in summer. I'd avoid in high season when the international visitors come along in loads of busses to see the penguin parade, and also the bevy of families with screaming bratty kids. The bottom end of Cowes can have a bit too much of this at times.

Stayed an extra night because lightning prevented us from seeing the penguins. So glad we did as there is a lot to see for 2 full days. Nobbies were spectacular as was surf at Cape and wild life everywhere. Local history of Churchill Island was well worth the visit.

Cowes is a beautiful seaside town reminiscent of seaside towns you would find in the UK and Europe. Beautiful beaches with golden sand. Plenty of cafe's and restaurants and lots of things to do on Philip Island. There is a boat launch in Cowes and the jetty has ferries which depart regularly to Stony Point and French Island. Seal and whale watching tours also operate. The big highlight of Philip Island is of course the Penguins and nightly Penguin Parade.

I stayed in one of the new studio cabins.
I stayed in one of the new studio cabins. It was really well set out and had everything that I needed, along with beautiful crisp white sheets and fluffy towels. It was a very pleasant stay and the hotel staff were all helpful and friendly. It’s also in a very good position right on the beach and a short walk to Cowes township.
Definitely worth a visit!

The place was clean. Beds are very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and very helpful. The cottage looks much better than the photos on their website. It was bright and full of natural lights. The location was quiet and yet very close to Cowes city centre. All in all, we had beautiful stay at Woodbyn Resort. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit Phillip Island.
