Motel was right on the Princes Hwy, so traffic noise was evident at night.
A lot of trucks entered and left the nearby Refinery, close to the back entrance to the motel. This is not the ideal location for a motel, set amongst a number of industrial sites.

This is an excellent place to stay, since we had to board an early flight from Avalon airport. So close and convenient.Also enjoyed the buffet selection from Feast a restaurant all under the one roof of the gateway hotel. Would definitely do this again in the near future.
Hotel Manager was very friendly and helpful. I stayed briefly overnight as it was close to the airport. The room was basic but cheap and all I needed to be able to sleep and get back to the airport early the next morning.
Pet-friendly, clean, location and complete kitchenware. The front yard is spacious where my dog can play and only 700 metres away from Corio shopping centre.
