Lovely place, very quiet area, however not too far from the tavern if you wanted to go out for a meal. 15-20 minutes from Cowes on the Island where there are restaurants, a shopping centre and petrol stations. Approx. 15-20mins from the penguin parade and costal board walk. Amazing views of the coast and mainland. It’s a lot bigger than we realised.

Away from the hustle and bustle of Cowes and San Remo, I could hear waves crashing, come face to face with a wayward wallaby and feel as if I'd really escaped. I wasn't too far from a latte if I was desperate! I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island.

Beach is within walking distance, and enjoyed beautiful sunsets and walks every night. Street was very quiet, and patrolled surf beach is just a short drive away. Shops are very close, with eating places and general store.

We loved staying at Cape Woolamai the accomodation was outstanding. We enjoyed Fish n Chips in San Remo on our first night, delicious. Go Karting at the Grand Prix track was awesome fun with a big group. We even spotted whales at the Nobbies. So many walks to do but not enough time. We will be back soon.

Love Cape Woolami, central to everything.

Love Cape Woolami, central to everything. Cape Woolami Pizza, got a thumbs up. Island Burger Bar, was a little treasure we found. Gluten free and vegan options, family friendly. Great team that run the place, definitely return there. The bay, 5 minutes walk, very relaxing. Feeding the pelicans at the bridge, definitely worth the free visit.
