My room was nice. I had a room facing the water. The facilities were good had a decent sized pool and best little gym area. The spa was not very warm though. It was close by to everything but the Flynn is more central.

Comfortable,close to centre of cairns, restaurants and faclities. My wife and i are both in our eighties. The bus service of Cairns is very good.

There is so much to do in and around Cairns. We opted for guided tours, which were a terrific way to see some of the area. We pre-booked (online) and did Kuranda by Skyrail and train, Cape Tribulation & Atherton Tablelands through Cairns Adventure Group, and the outer reef through Sunlover Reef Cruises. These were incredible tours and highly recommend all. Our tour operators also picked us up from our accomodation (The Green Place at Lakes Resort - incredible!!). A truly magical experience and one we’ll remember for years to come. The night markets had a great vibe, Rusty’s markets on Sunday were also terrific. So much to see and do, a week was the perfect break for our family of 4 - the kids can’t wait to go back. We chose to use Ubers rather than hire a car and this was much more convenient (and kinder on the wallet) for the week we spent ~$145AUD, and our accomodation was a 10 minute ride into town.
