Bright is a lovely town at any time of the year but particularly in Autumn - look up Bright Autumn Festival! It's also the perfect stopping point from Melbourne on the way to the Victorian High Country. Falls Creek being 1hr 15mins drive, and Mount Hotham 1 hr.

Picturesque area. Many lovely walks, drives and bike trails.
Picturesque area. Many lovely walks, drives and bike trails. Nearby towns of Wandiligong, Harrietville, Mt Beauty, Myrtleford and Beechworth are worth visiting. Many lovely cafes, restaurants, wineries and breweries. Recommend Tomahawks Restaurant in Bright - very interesting menu, great bar and excellent staff. Gumnut Pies in Bright are delicious. Bright Brewery also recommended. I am sure the pubs are good too. A visit to the Alpine Light Gallery was memorable. It is a beautiful studio of stunning photography.

Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty.
Bright lives up to expectations for Autumn beauty. This trip we didn't venture beyond town having done sightseeing drives before. We enjoyed our strolls beside the river from the central area on well marked walking tours. The restaurants we visited to purchase meals to take away to sit by the river were served by polite, cheerful and personable staff on each occasion, and were beautiful.

Bright is absolutely stunning especially in the autumn.
Bright is absolutely stunning especially in the autumn. The main streets were an easy walk from where I stayed at lovely Bright Deluxe. The cafes and restaurants had delicious menus and the staff were so friendly. My objective was to walk the great trails and relax and I definitely achieved it. Beautiful Bright is truly my happy place so see you again very soon…😊

Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo.
Great location for bushwalking in mt buffalo. Some nice but expensive restaurants. The bright pub brewery is going downhill, a few years ago it was far better, the food now is terrible and the beer is uninteresting. Very sad. Third visit to bright but I guess we won’t return soon.

Bright is a wonderful town.
Bright is a wonderful town.
There are many activities and sites for people to do and visit.
I recommend booking a bike if you want to tour the surrounding areas. Otherwise, there are fantastic walking tracks around the town.
The town is beautiful in summer and more so in Autumn, when most of the leaves have turned golden brown or red.
The property is very reasonably priced. The cabins facing the play park are best for kids as they are easily accessible and one can watch over the kids from the cabins comfort. The staff was very friendly. It's 20-25 mins bike ride from Bright and we always loved the ride as family. The kitchen has most of the utensils available for one to cook a hot meal.
The location was perfect right in the centre of town.
Room was very clean and the sta staff were lovely and very helpful.
Also the hotel was right next door for dinner. Lovely stay in Bright even though for only one night.
The hotel is in a great location and is good value for money. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was great and the linen and towels were of high quality.
