    Beautiful drive around Bilpin.

Beautiful drive around Bilpin. Long winding roads so drive carefully, especially in the rain. Lots of cute little cafes to eat in. Famous for its apples-possible to pick your own off the tree. Lovely old homesteads and rolling hills.

Bilpin is a quiet location that has some tourist options...

Bilpin is a quiet location that has some tourist options mostly food and scenery based. There are no local options for dinner but places to have lunch and breakfast. The nearest dinner restaurant is about 15 mins away so it is best to bring food with you. As an alternative to the more tourist driven main highway it is a perfect quiet get away from it all place to stay.

A quiet town with beautiful vistas from many locations.

A quiet town with beautiful vistas from many locations. Plenty of roadside photos to be taken. Well known for its apples, be sure to sample some of the fresh produce and stop in at one of the cider producers!

We loved the bushland setting and the many various birds...

We loved the bushland setting and the many various birds that visited, the dawn chorus. We had our own binoculars for bird-watching but noted that a pair of binoculars was available if needed, Breakfasts in the house where we stayed were sensational! Our host and hostess were friendly and available. They attended to all our needs, giving good advice when discussing places of interest to visit and where to get food if wanted - they had lived in the vicinity for a good while and were very familiar with the area.
