The North Rivers area of NSW has the best weather in the world. Great beaches; an excellent, friendly golf club and some top notch restaurants with quality produce, within a 30 minute drive as well in Ballina. Mile upon mile of pristine beaches with hardly a soul on them - paradise. A great place to whale watch from the shore or on a tour.

Ballina was. A good break for us. We liked to rest on good beds before hiking or walking in the day. Our destinations ( after exploring Ballina were only half to one hour away). We loved the local bakery around the corner. Great breakfast wraps! We will definitely come back to Ballina and the hotel.

We love the shopping, dolphins in the river and ocean, river, and ocean views, and whales spotting from the lookout and river when in season. We dined at Cherry St Sporties where the meals and cocktails were great value and delicious. We also ate at Taco Bell.

Recommend you pass by, try a different town. Arrived after 18.00 to find all reception offices closed in almost all hotels. only telephone and internet contact . 30 minutes standing in the rain at the last hotel trying to get the key that was in a lockbox. Ended up in a kitchen / passageway with a bed no locks on the doors.

This was my third time staying at Ballina Palms and I hope it won’t be the last. The rooms are sensational with little features added to them. Andre and the team are great with attention to detail. Whenever I needed something either Andre or Sebastian were so quick to help. Wifi worked well. It’s close walk to the river and the ideal location. I was here for both work and holiday and it worked a treat for me. There’s a pool and seating area if people want to lounge around the motel. There’s a washer and dryer for a very small fee.

All rooms were suitable for our families in apartment 6.Apartment 8 was most suitable for my sister and had plenty room for her family. The view is amazing watching the sunset and tides coming in the bay. The hotel across the pub is great my family made friends with the locals and a beautiful outdoor area close to swimming. Due to the Lismore floods we were unable to stay with immediate family as they were affected by the floods.Staying in Ballina was more suitable for us as all. Thank you Kate and Chris.
