The location was great. Easy walk to restaurants, groceries and fast food. Pretty quiet too. The staff bent over backwards to solve our internet problem when we brought it to their attention.

We had the accessible room and it was excellent. It was one of the best accommodations for disability access that we have had on this roadtrip. We highly recommend the Bairnsdale Motel.

Bairnsdale is a good country town with supermarkets, cafes and other shops. There is a train staion and local buses. There is a river with nice waterside walks. The Catholic church of St Marys is particularly worth a visit as the ceiling has been painted in the Italian style. (See my photos)

getting around was easy, however I was only there overnight, I did not go and do touristy things as I had driven six hours and just wanted to rest. I would love to go back and spend more time there exploring.

The resort was wonderful, I cannot fault anything at all.
The resort was wonderful, I cannot fault anything at all. The place was clean, comfortable and the staff all went out of their way to accommodate us!
We enjoyed great food at different venues and visited Painsville, Lakes Entrance and did sight seeing in Bairnsdale. The Information centre was a great help.
The only thing I didn't really like was the noise of the traffic early in the morning.

Bairnsdale has many good cafes, pubs and restaurants - lovely places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. We generally visit to see family, but Bairnsdale is a great base from which to explore all the local attractions - including, for example, the Buchan Caves.

Bairnsdale is a large country town.
Bairnsdale is a large country town. The Catholic Church as you you enter from the Melbourne side on the left is definitely worth a visit. A volunteer is available and has a wealth of information in relation to the church and history of the area. Not to be missed.
There are plenty of shops, the Potted Pear, gift wares, is great.
There are museums, historical and Aboriginal.
Bairnsdale is a lovely place for a day visit.

The hosts are lovely and friendly but respect privacy and will only interact as much as you initiate, they are very helpful if you need assistance with anything whatsoever. The garden apartment is very comfortable. The breakfast provisions are generous and lovely. The garden is beautiful to observe and wake up to. Bairnsdale is a great town with lots to do and enjoy. Lots of relaxing fishing spots or walks. The hosts provide a room service each day, refilling supplies, making the bed and tidying up. Thank you.
Excellent regional hotel - perfect for an overnight stop. Hotel bistro was above expectations and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and really well trained. Family was spacious and very clean, great fridge for storing our food, top quality bed linen - property totally exceeded our expectations.
They were renovating. My room wasn’t amazing but the room they just did was perfect. The service was phenomenal! This will be the future go to for Bairnsdale!
