Very quirky and interesting town. Tourist info was helpful.
Very quirky and interesting town. Tourist info was helpful. Great fun doing Babinda kayaking, although we got horrendously sunburnt. Not much in the way of eating places unfortunately. Great parking. Nice location just off hwy, but still tranquil. Would recommend a short visit.

Babinda Quarters is the converted nurses' quarters of Babinda Hospital. It is an older style government building, very solid and grand. We had an upstairs room with a great view over lawns and garden and lovely fresh breeze. The bathroom was good with a good shower. The bed was very comfortable. Our stay was on a Saturday evening and there was music late from a local club.

Couple of interesting pubs.
Great bakery at the bottom of the main street and good cafe (The Kool Spot) at the top of the main street.
