The access from both internally in the building and from the outside stairwell from the car park. Although we did not use the kitchen facilities it was great to know that we could have. The proximity to the Hotel for dinner was a plus as was the view from our accommodation. I couldn’t comment on the staff as we never saw them.

Augusta is a gem - we feel that MR has become so over populated and busy that its the simple quite feel of Augusta that gets us back each time. So much to see and do - truly from beaches to lighthouse the Blackwood River offering Brim, squid crabs! The quaint little restaurants, thrift shops and option of Markets seasonally. Everyone knows everyone and the Pub is just so iconic. Having the local IGA helps. Being able to walk along the well made riverbed - the jetty is wonderful and a buzz on a good evening. The Golf Club is not over done - run by amazing women and the option of another smaller Par 3 for those not wanting to do the big walk. The bowls - The Paintng classes you can take on the corner store - stores seem to remember you from prior trips my goodness we love it - so much we have purchased in Kudardup

such a beautiful place to visit.

such a beautiful place to visit. Houseboat holidays was wonderful. Augusta hotel was wonderful. A meal at the pub is always good. A trip to the lighthouse for a tour is always interesting and a trip to the museum is very informative. Some wonderful shops to search through and a lovely couple of cafe’s to have coffee and lunch. Dont miss a trip to the bakery for an awesome pie.

Loved the pub down the road, sat outside one evening with a glass of wine overlooking the river and the beach, very friendly staff and fantastic weather. Also enjoyed the homemade burgers we got from the butchers which we cooked in the kitchen of our accomodation. Shops in main street were great selling interesting and unusual items at generally reasonable prices.

    What an amazing location!

What an amazing location! We stayed here because we wanted to visit Margaret River in WA, but that region is very expensive. Augusta is only a half hour drive south of Margaret River but sooooo much cheaper. It also turned out to be the better location. You can't beat Cape Leeuwin at sunset, the South-West tip of mainland Australia where the Southern and Indian oceans meet. The location of Augusta also opened up destinations along the south coast of Western Australia which wouldn't have otherwise been known to us. Next time we visit the region, the town of Augusta will be our first choice for accommodation again.

    Power outages were an issue.

Power outages were an issue. We were going to go to the Pub for dinner but it was closed due to the outage. We were surprised as the outage was finished by 3:30 pm. The pizza truck made great pizzas.

It is relaxing and beautiful. Great to walk around and just look at the surrounds. Leeuwin lighthouse has always been a favourite of mine. We had lunch from the bakery. Had the evening meal in our unit. We enjoyed the museum.

Our hosts were very friendly people, providing us with a wealth of information on the things to do in Augusta. We mentioned we were hoping to see kangaroos on our visit, and they even gave us directions on where best to find them.
