Very pretty place & location is perfect for a relaxing and chilled vibe. There is a pool but it’s not totally needed because the beach is literally only a 2 min walk away! The owner was super helpful and responsive.

Located in a quiet street not far from a bus stop and a few minutes walk from the local Foodworks. Was the perfect stay for two people for 2 to 3 nights. There was a kettle with tea and coffee provided and there was a microwave oven. The shower was outside and it was just wonderful! Don’t expect anything flash but you will find it very homely and comfortable!

Our stay at Tropical Palms Resort was simply beyond our expectations: I slept here with my sister for two nights and everything was just perfect. Clean room and bathroom, there's a beautiful outside pool that unfortunately we didn't have time to use. Rob and his wife (so sorry I forgot her name) were so friendly and recommended places to visit and where to eat in the area. Rob provided us a map of all the island with the best highlights. This place is a little gem in this paradise of an island! Best choice ever 💙 thank you for everything!

By taking our car over on the barge we could travel around the island to the different beaches. It has some lovely places to see, some can only be accessed by car. The bus service appeared popular with people to get around the main three bays on the island. Great relaxing holiday destination.

The motel is well situated next to the pub for meals. You can walk to the beach. Great local busses. Plenty excursions if you want them. Motel not five star but clean and not to expensive and you are on Magnetic island it’s like going back in time. Paradise.

We so loved Magnetic Island and happily found the tiny Arcadia settlement just perfect in terms of access to a perfect cove beach, bus, hiking trails, and even the RSL Club where we had a surprisingly good Sunday meal.

Magnetic Island is still an affordable place for a getaway. Just need to be mindful of the stinger season and where you choose to swim. Horseshoe Bay and Picnic bay offer stinger nets. Alma Bay has great facilities and close to Arcadia pub.

Arcadia is a little quieter and less touristy than the popular Horseshoe Bay. Alma Bay is a beautiful place to swim, with natural protection from stingers. Alma Bay is easily within walking distance from Arcadia. There are a couple of great convenience stores. The ferry terminal is minutes away.

The folks running the motel were super friendly and helpful and tried to accommodate us as best as they could - letting us check in slightly early and check out slightly late, which was very much appreciated.
The aircon could've been a bit better, but was fine in the end.
All in all a very enjoyable stay, and a perfect location to explore from, would definitely stay there again.

Great space, decor, amenities and location, close to Arcadia pub and Geoffrey Bay. Very handy 3 min bus ride from Nelly Bay ferry terminal and so convenient to have a bus stop directly out the front of the house. Loved our friendly visiting kookaburra - a real treat for the kids! BBQ on the verandah also a bonus.
The manager was great. Very happy and helpful. Locations was good as well just a short bust trip North to Horseshoe Bay and south to Picnic Bay. The wallabies near Arcadia were very friendly. The pub is a great place to hang out.
The property managers were very helpful and professional. Could not fault them. Arcadia is a great are with lots going on. The accommodation was very close to the bus stop.
