Although I booked the spa room, it exceeded my expectations, as did the wrap around balcony with multiple access points. The infinity pool was fabulous and it was the main attraction for originally booking here. The food and service was fantastic. I dined in Rick Steins for dinner and breakfast and it was impeccable. Julio's was good as well but not the same level of service. My purpose for the visit was to swim, read, eat, drink and relax and it exceeded my expectations.

We love taking our dog on holiday with us - so Anna Bay has a big dog friendly beach which also has shallow end. The "locals" were all really friendly, relaxed and gave helpful suggestions. Good pub , pizza place, fish n chips n hamburger joint. Ideal for really relaxed casual holiday

Great to be close to water and fresh seafood. Lots of activities to do within close proximity. Visit Holberts Oyster Farm, a great place to sit in the sun, have some fresh oysters, prawns and a cold beer.

Anna Bay is a village with a supermarket, bottlo, pub, doctor and pharmacy, Birubi Beach is one of the best beaches in Australia, perfect for children, surfing and you can take your dog! There's also camel rides and sand dune (picture the The Sahara Desert). The cafe at the surf club serves delicious food but is pricey as is the attached takeaway ($9 for an iced coffee!) 15 mins to Nelson Bay for restaurants, toboggan rides and water park. Nelson Bay also has lots of restaurants, whale watching cruises and Tomaree to climb for excellent views.

The Anna Bay area is more residential that I anticipated.

The Anna Bay area is more residential that I anticipated. The park entrance is situated in a residential area and surrounded by houses. This takes something away from the holiday feel of the place compared to some other venues which have more garden and bushland feel.

Loved Anna Bay and the entire surrounding area.

Loved Anna Bay and the entire surrounding area. A great place to spot marine wildlife such as whales. The sand dunes are stunning and the beach beautiful. Many food places were shut due to COVID but that's what we expected. We will be returning to explore the area more thoroughly - and to go on the dune quad bike experience again!

Hope all is well, I am sorry to be writing this but we are very disappointed with our stay at The Oasis resort. On arrival all seemed well we was told by the lady on duty that the gardener had quit and the owners had gone on vacation, she done what she could but was over stretched, we was told there was a phone number to call if we needed anything but there was no phone reception nor was there any wifi as suggested on there site, so if there were to be an emergency there would be no help for any of the people staying. We was asked by the same lady if we wanted to use the pool we replied we did but the whole of our stay this was still out of use, also we was unable to use the laundry facilities. Also there was not a hair dryer and had to ask for this more then once, the accommodation oven was more for a signal or couple not for a family of five we had to eat out most of the time as the kitchen was just unclean very disappointing. The wellness center was not available, the communal kitchen area was very unusable, the oven filled with spiders and bugs, the fridge freezer was covered in bugs very dirty, all the kitchen pots and pans in the shared kitchen as well as our accommodation was very dirty we had to buy one. We feel this was not what we paid for and am very unhappy with our stay, even as we left there was no one or no where to hand in our key , we had to leave this in side the accommodation. We feel as we have paid so much money for a poor service

We loved the seclusion, the peace and quiet, and being surrounded by nature. The cabins are fully self-contained and comfortable, and the pool and BBQ areas are perfect if you just need some downtime. The caretaker and staff are lovely and were always happy to help with anything we needed. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle The Retreat is ideal.

Fantastic large home suitable for families that want something relaxing in a bushy setting. Great for family BBQ. Great big kitchen and living areas for friendly game of table tennis. Nice pool on site to share with caravan park long-term residents. Hardly anyone uses the pool as many older folk in the caravan park, they are super friendly.
