Alice Springs is a good starting point to explore the outback. You will also find interesting museums there. A beautiful thing to do is an early morning Ballon flight over the West McDonnel Ranges. The wildlife park was also very nice. For good Korean food go to Simply Korean, 41 Gap Road. For good excursions go to the Tourist Information office in the centre of the town. We also did bike rental. Be sure you lock your bikes well, preferably with more than 1 lock. Little boys tried to steal our rental bikes, but fortunately my holiday neighbour heard them and we used all our four locks, so no bike was stolen.

We love Alice Springs.
We love Alice Springs. There are so many breathtaking places to visit that are such a short drive from the town. We love being amongst the local indigenous people too, who live closer to their culture than they do in the city. It's a magical place.

At night, our car was robbed in a guarded parking lot, breaking 2 windows. Despite the fact that we asked the hotel manager if it was safe to leave the car in front of the hotel. (in principle, cars do not enter the hotel). In the morning, they helped us quickly replace 1 glass and temporarily cover the opening of the second one with a film, which was not available, in the repair shop. Not for free, at our expense, but quickly. The second glass was replaced only in Port Lincoln. The mood is spoiled for a long time.

Alice’s granny flat was a charming and cosy place to stay. We had everything we needed and more! The owners, Karen and Hans were so lovely and accommodating. We LOVED our time at Alice’s granny flat and definitely recommend it to any couples travelling to Alice Springs. Thank you Karen and Hans!
Lovely hosts, who were knowledgeable about the natural areas surrounding Alice Springs. Amazing breakfast. Well-equipped kitchen for preparing and cooking other meals. Comfortable bedrooms and shared living/dining areas. Quiet and relaxing pool area
The park is lovely and could not fault our room. Short walk out the side of the park to the Alice Springs Brewery for tea one night and cooked in the room the following night. Close (driving distance) to all the main attractions in the town
we loved the laundry facility as most of us are travellers desperate for a clean change of clothes. To be able to do it in the comfort of the hotel we're staying is very thoughtful of Doubletree by Hilton.
