We just spent four amazing nights at ALMMONTE PRACLRUM SUITES and loved every minute. The staff, especially Roman and Julia, were incredible and made us feel so welcome.
The rooms were beautiful, with lovely wooden decor and a great design. Waking up to the stunning mountain views was a real treat. The food was delicious every single day.
One of the best parts was the rooftop pool – it had fantastic views and was a great place to relax. The spa and sauna were also wonderful, perfect for unwinding.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend ALMMONTE PRACLRUM SUITES to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

Wagrain was a good base for many activities in a family summer vacation:
Super close:
- Grafenberg - great views, a big playground for kids
- Jaegersee - a lake with amazing view and a restaurant (I recommend the icecream). There is a short hiking trail around the lake and you can rent boats.
- Flachau indoor waterpark - Not a must, but good for rainy days (can be very crowded)
Up to 1h drive:
- Salzburg
- Lichtensteinklamm - Beautiful but very crowded - I recommend arriving right at opening time
- Gosausee - Beautiful lake also with a hiking trail
- Grollinger waterfall
- Hallstatt - Very crowded so arrive early or don't bother.

Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area.
Wagrain is amazing, there is much to do in the area. Our stay at knappensteig was truly amazing. Thomas the owner is very available and the whole complex is amazing and very clean and comfortable.
We Were there for 7 nights and we wanted to stay longer.
It’s very close to the wasserwelt which the kids really enjoyed. We highly recommend this place.

Have been visiting this ski area since 1986 and gone through all spots involved in the skiing area. In lunch time I went to the Alms where I was every single time. And always found what I wanted. Travelling either by the ski-buses or rent a car has never been a problem. Dining took place in the towns of Wagrain, St. Johann or Flachau and good restaurants easy to find.
All very good, the apartment is large, comfortable, and well equipped (includes even a coffee machine with coffee beans). A very nice host. They offer a "bread service" - you can order bread/bakery items (croissant, semmel) and they would deliver it every morning to your apartment. It is close to a ski bus stop (about 100 m walk), the ski bus takes you either to Grafenberg (Wagrain ski area) or Flachau. Enough space for parking your car. There is even a kids' playroom in the house!
Beautifully designed boutique hotel at the top of Wagrain, Kirchboden. The staff went out of its way to make ours a pleasant stay. They clearly were instructed to go above and beyond on their customer service, offering us breakfast when the breakfast had passed, offering drinks in the pool and providing excellent recommendations during the dinner.
A HUGE thanks to the friendly receptionist, who gave us an AMAZING welcomst and stay - If you ever need a job in Denmark at a hotel ;) Let me know… Great rooms, garden, pools and wellness
