The hotel is in an excellent location, the staff is kind and pleasant, the atmosphere is special and typical of the place. I arrived with my partner in the evening, the view that opened before our eyes in the morning was unimaginable to the eye. The breakfast is perfect... everything is perfect!

Hotel manager was so service minded and we can feel his intention to explain the city map and recommend good restaurant. The breakfast come with huge set and full decorations. The waitress is lovely and always make sure that we got everything we needed. The amenities is good quality. The water boiler and tea provided in the room is very helpful during winter season.

St Wofgang is a small, beautiful town situated right on the lake. A good amount of restaurants and shops. The town had a music festival and dance performance outside while we were there. Seems like there are always things going on at the weekend in the spring/summer. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake, visited Hallstadt and the saltmines there, and took the cog railroad up the mountain for amazing views of the whole area. We stayed for five nights and it was perfect.

Excellent place with so many possibilities in domain of walking, Wellness & Spa activities, exploring restaurants with great food and drinks, etc.
It is traditionally oriented to the Austrian culture and has incredible nature of the Wolfgang See surroundings...
We like St. Wolfgang so much and we will be here for many years in the future during our vacations.

St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly.
St. Wolfgang is lovely but not pedestrian-friendly. The town is chopped up by a highway tunnel. The road from the Garni Buchinger hotel into the town is narrow, mostly with no sidewalks and pitch dark at night. There's a lot of traffic on this road making it unsafe for pedestrians. For this reason we had no choice but to drive the short distance into town each night for dinner.

St. Wolfgang is at the bottom of Schafberg and obvius choice to stay. Village is small, very, very nice (absolutely comparable and probably even nicer than nearby and well known Hallstat). Lake view is visible from almost every house, there are a lot of hotels, really nice shops and a lot of restaurants.
Like elsewhere in Austria, note that shops close early and restaurants close at 22h (.there is a single hotel bar opened until 24h, at least that was correct at the moment of our stay).
I had problems finding gluten free products (local supermarket only) and coffee shops which serve lactose free milk (single coffee shop).
Absolutely recommend st. Wolfgang and will likely come again at some point. There is a lot to see and do here.

Nice historical village.
Nice historical village. Possibility of excursions around the lake, sailing on the lake, hiking in the surrounding mountains. Prices in restaurants are higher, as are prices in hotels. It seems to me that some of them exaggerate. (both hotels and restaurants)

This was a lovely hotel right on the water in St Wolfgang. There's a private garden with two jacuzzi baths, and a private waterfront area for swimming. My room had a nice terrace with a beautiful view of the lake. Its very easy to get to the hotel by ferry, as the dock is only a few minutes away. You can also easily arrive by bus.
My room was lovely and I appreciated that there was a speaker system with several music channels.
The staff were very welcoming and the atmosphere was cosy and friendly. I would definitely recommend a stay here!
We booked a few days holiday in the top studio room and were blown away by the incredible view. From our balcony, we had a breathtaking panorama of the lake and snow-capped mountains. The spa was clean and cozy, providing a relaxing retreat. The breakfast served was superb, offering a variety of delicious options. We also highly recommend trying the dinner at the hotel restaurant; the food was absolutely wonderful. The staff provided excellent service throughout our stay. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would definitely return.
We got upgraded to a very big room with a big balcony. Everything was so cute in this hotel - the lobby, common area, great colour palette and interior design. You can also feel the history in the building. Great view of the lake. Full breakfast included with lots of options for bread, snacks, cheese, etc. very friendly staff. You'll feel like living in a dream. Great for the value during off season and Peter hotel was definitely a highlight of my trip.
We spent one night here with family and friends and I must say this Seehaus Familie Leifer is such a hidden gem in St. Wolfgang. The view is amazing; the staff is very friendly, and for a hotel that sits right by the lake the price is very reasonable. I also like the big living room where I can hang out with my friends at night. I will stay here agian.
Beautiful hotel overlooking the lake. Our room had stunning views and a spacious terrace. The outdoor pool and spa area is fantastic. There is a good variety of food on offer at breakfast and we ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the food was superb. What sets this hotel apart is the staff. Everyone was friendly, helpful and efficient.
