The staff!!!
We had issues with our room(see below) and Mrs. Beate did more than her best to get us a warm room all the same!
The place is quite nice, anyway. There is a very good restaurant and breakfast is excellent, too.
Schloss Hotel Fernsteinsee with its own castle is set at the foot of the sunny side of the Fernpass, only a few kilometers from the Zugspitze Mountain.

It was awesome, everything was perfect, it felt like home. The host was very warm and helpful, the house was cozy and warm. We highly recommend it. Nicole&Marcel
Attractive alpine valley town. Good restaurants and a cosy cafe. Be warned, however: Austrians like to dine earlier than any other nation I've encountered, so make sure you reach a restaurant/hotel by seven o'clock - kitchens close 7.30 - 8.00.
Locals were very friendly and helpful, at least to this non-German speaking idiot whose sat/nav took him to a lumber yard some few kilometres from his hotel.

Very nice place. A comfortable room with a bathroom in a traditional house. There is private parking. Very good price for accommodation. The owner of the house is a friendly and reliable person. This house is in a small, nice town with a local atmosphere. It's quiet there, nice residents, only a few tourists. There is a good restaurant in the central hotel and a pizza bar nearby. There are also two small, typically local bistro bars serving wine, beer, liqueur, coffee, etc. I recommend this accommodation and the town.
Perfect small family hotel, in an amazing landscape, beautifully designed with care for details. Welcoming owners doing a great job for their guests. Close to lots of tourist attactions in a very offering area. Definitely to come back.
Amazing view and the house feels amazingly homely. Not like a hotel at all. But be aware that you should travel here by car. It´s possible to take a public bus, like we did, but the bus only comes three times a day.
Because we had car trouble, we arrived at the hotel quite late. Before anything else, the staff made sure that we could have a meal even though their kitchen was closed already. They made us feel right at home.
We had an apartment which was part of the reception for the camping ground so slightly separated from the main hotel. The walk from our room to the restaurant was very pleasant indeed.
