This is a lovely little hotel in Laa an Der Thaya. Self check-in means no staff were available, but that was okay once we figured out how to check in. The rooms were nice and very clean. The Bistro was fantastic and the staff there were very friendly. We had a fantastic dinner and an equally excellent breakfast the next morning. I had the Zanderfilet for dinner and my friend had the Fiaker Goulash. Both were terrific. And the selection of local wines was also excellent. We each had two glasses of beautiful white wine and my friend bought a bottle to take home with him.
Located in the center of Laa an der Thaya, Frühstückshaus Wunderland is only a 5-minute walk from the Therme Laa spa center and the train station. Free Wi-Fi is available.

Stayed here to visit the Therme Laa. Really nice place, spacious room and plenty of parking. The bathroom was once very nice, now the faucets were a bit run down but clean.

This place is for Wine Lovers. I mean, if you do not drink wine, you will not appreciate this place the way we did. Family run, wine based hotel. Their wine production started in 1783 or something like this, and the family tree is proudly displayed on the wall. Upon arrival we have tried 5 wines. There was a sect for breakfast (which we could not enjoy as we were driving on). You can buy their wines -- after tasting -- or the next day, to make sure that you know what you are doing ;-) Very good breakfast. Staff speaks English. A lot more wine around ;-)))))))

Clean hotel, air condition in the room (it was very hot, so we appreciated it), friendly staff, very good meal. Possibility to safely store bikes and charge them to electricity at the same time. Short, 5 minute walk to thermal spa.
Nice alternative to the spa hotel if you go with family or just need to stay for one night. Everything is new and well designed. Enough parking space by the door.
