The first very nice surprise for Hungarian travellers, that the staff is Hungarian. Above the common language, and this is the real value, the couple who manage the Gasthof -Gábor and Tünde- are really very professional, very kind and helpful people.
The breakfast is rich, good quality, typical Austrian one.
However the restaurant is open every day - except Wednesday-, the foods are really tasty, a certain rethinking of traditional Austrian ones by a very good Hungarian chef.
The Gasthof is an ideal starting point for star-tours. The Dachstein, the Altaussee (with the Loser), Bad Aussee, Radstadt, Schladming or Windischgarten etc. are very close to Irdning.
