Location is spot on. Close to Vienna and in the middle of the wine region. Cleanness is really top. Restaurant serves very tasty food and has an excellent choice of regional wines. Staff at the reception was very helpful. We used their suggestions on our short tour of the region. Beauty farm complete and very well appointed. We enjoyed it very much. We plan to go back soon.

The entire staff of the Kracher company was very helpful and friendly. The house is lokated near to the national park center and the bird wathing spots. The furnishing oft the house is new and modern, but in the breakfast room are not enough seats when the house is fully booked (as it was on saturday).

Breakfast is very good, with many options and with local products. Coffee self-served all day. Located at a very calm street, about 5 min walk to the centre. Parking available off the street. Owners are kind, speak English. It was our second stay and not the last.

Illmitz is a great location for visiting the Neusiedler See National Park.
It has a good choice of restaurants; our hotel (Hotel Post) did evening meals Thu-Sun, so we had a chance to try other restaurants on oher evenings (Heuriger Holzhammer Pusztascheune Illmitz, Antonios Hof).
Before leaving we used the web site https://www.birdingplaces.eu/ which had good information on places to visit and what we might expect to see. The hotel itself also had a good booklet on local places to visit and wildlife and we bought an English language version. There is also a good National Park Information Centre.

I was in Illmitz for a wedding which coincided with the annual festival of Martini Lober. This meant there was a lot of wine and schnapps tasting in the various wine cellars. People were super friendly! I did hear that the village/town gets very quiet until the summer, when things pick up again given its proximity to Austria’s largest lake, Neusiedl See.
Amazing hotel. I think people do not realise how nice that area of Austria is. Breakfast was amazing and made out of food from the local area. I liked the grape juice that was made by the hotel. Room was big and clean the shower was amazing. I think is the first one that I've seen that they really put thought into it. Quiet, free parking. In the summer time I believe it is a wonderful place. Ahhh....and I shouldn't forget about the wine. That is a wine area for Austria.
Excellent conditions, impeccable cleanliness, very comfortable bed, extremely kind and helpful host, central position, parking right in front of the property. Illmitz is an extremely pleasant and interesting location, we will definitely come back. The host also owns a winery, where we bought an excellent wine.
The location of the accommodation is great and only a few minutes away from the center of Illmitz.
The room is relatively modern and well equipped. The air conditioning really saved our nights!
Arriving at the accomodation was uncomplicated, since the owner was already waiting for us.
Good place to organite your bike tours from in Illmitz. You can start your wine degustation in the house, Hans Gangl, knows his way. The best Gelb Muskateller in the town.
