We only stayed one night after finishing stage one (Oberstdorf – Holzgau) of our E5 hike. The room was spacious and had a balcony. We enjoyed dinner. We left before breakfast and the friendly staff arranged a lunch and organised a taxi to the materialseilbahn of the Memminger Hütte at 07:00.

Great recently renovated modern facility. The room was extremely comfortable, great bed, excellent modern bathroom amenities. Martin, the owner was extremely friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor. He spoke perfect English and made us feel welcomed and comfortable. The restaurant was excellent with great choices and very reasonable prices. Wonderful breakfast as well. We would not hesitate to stay here again if we were ever in that area gain. Thank you Martin.

A very friendly and helpful staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. A great breakfast area that we
were allowed to utilized in the evening for games and socializing without the staff there. Refreshments were available in a cooler on an honor system. Just made us feel at home. One lady traveling with us left an item in the room and Tina went out of her way to get the item to us while family was visiting her. Super HOST - - -

A very calm village, beautiful surroundings, quite fe attractios. I do not recomend rental shops located by the main street., the emploees were irreverent and snooty. Guys from FUN-Verleih were very helpfull and nice even though very busy. The prices competitive.
I do recommend the restaurant at the Hotel Neue Post - delicious food and nice staff.

The location is beautiful, many amazing hiking trails in the area.
The apartment was very large and comfortable with two big balconies and all the equipment you could need for a longer stay. Also, the artificial fireplace really added a relaxing atmosphere.
The SPA area is not too big, but very nicely organized with beautiful resting lounge.
The owner of the hotel was extremely nice and helpful - he offered us multiple tips and suggestions about the area as well as support when we got a flat tire. All in all we had a great time!
The staff at this hotel were very welcoming and friendly. My room looked as if it had been updated within the past couple of years, was very clean, comfortable, and was well lit. I appreciated the location, just off the main road at the end of the path to the Holzgau suspension bridge. Dinner was very good! I sat outside on the large patio with enough seating for about 25-30 people without feeling cramped. For breakfast I had an assortment of meat and cheese with fresh bread and coffee.
Great option for your stay in Holzgau. the apartment is very quiet but still very central, only 2 minutes walk from the bus stop, restaurants, supermarket and other shops. We hiked the Lechweg and found this apartment extremely convenient, very clean, kitchen was equipped with whatever we needed, really nice shower, everything was shining clean. Frau Wolf was soooo friendly and welcoming, helped us with our laundry and with any information we needed. I highly recommend.
Nice small hotel in the center of the village. The hostess was really friendly and you feel very welcome. The parking place for our motorbike was just in front of the hotel. Near the hotel was a good restaurant for the dinner (the hotel was not serving dinner).
