The nice restaurants and food shops are placed in center of Hittisau village, about fifteen-twenty minutes walk. Public transportation (bus) is available, acceptable, but not very frequent.

One of the benefits of staying over three nights in this...
One of the benefits of staying over three nights in this area is that we were each given a Guest Card for the Bregenzerwald area. The card allowed us free rides on the cable cars in the area and discounts for some of the restaurants, etc. The hiking in the area was fantastic; if we were looking for a place to ski in the winter, we'd choose this area!
