We are hiking the Alpe-Adria-Trail and arrived pretty well drenched after heavy rainfall. The manager got our clothes all dried including our boots. The property is immaculately maintained and has great sauna facilities including an infra red one that was great for our backs in particular. The luggage transporters ripped us off by charging 195 euros to move one bag to two hotels. Hotel manager was horrified at the price and got on phone and it “magically” came down to 95 euros. Top marks to mein host 👍. The food was delicious.
With panoramic views of the Großglockner and the Hohe Tauern Mountains, the Lärchenhof is just 100 metres from the centre of Heiligenblut and 150 metres from the Großglockner Bergbahnen Cable Car.

This hotel was a bit odd in that it seemed stuck somewhere in the mid 90s. You know, appliances in the yellowed-white color of an old PC. Two-handle faucets (and not the thermostatic kind). Everything is well used (but nothing is broken or dirty). This isn't necessarily a positive or negative - some might find it charming, but don't expect the most modern amenities.
Surrounded by a breathtaking mountain panorama, the Nationalpark Lodge Grossglockner is located in Heiligenblut, at the foot of the Großglockner.

Good location to start a Großglockner pass day out. Nice views down the valley from the restaurant, which you should consider since other dining options in Heiligenblut are limited. Limited food choices, but well prepared. Helpful, friendly staff.

The room was very clean. I don’t eat meat and milk products and they even went and bought vegan milk, cheese and spread for me for breakfast. I liked the hospitality and the location. Very close to the glossglockner and other mountains.

The location is best. The apartment looks old and not-so-good, but comfortable and nice. The kitchen is well equiped, the rooms are good enough for several days stay.
