I used to visit Alpen in Austria many times in various places; the big centres are totally full of people during the season. This is the reason why I decided myself for Annaberg - it's very nice and quiet place with not too many people, even the surroundings are prefect.

Both hosts were nice and kind with us. The beer was cold, the food was great.
The hotel is not the latest one, but we like if something has history.
It was clean, our room was tidy with huge comfy bed.
The shower+ toilet is small indeed, but our aim was not to sit there the whole weekend. 😁 We had enough hot water for taking shower and space to put our stuffs, and lay down.
The owners are very kind and friendly, they helped us planning the route for visiting the attractions and give us best suggestions, the pension is located in dream area, surrounded by mountains. I loved the the impression of a rustic wooden cabin, it has an air of a Christmas cottage.
The village itself is well located. Close to main attractions around (Dachstein, lakes, etc.) The houses are somewhat crowded in the village but the concept is understandable. The view is magnificent.
