The hotel is in a great location on the hill where you can see most of the town. If you are going to enjoy nature and have some extreme sport activities, I would highly recommend it.

All our wishes were granted during our stay at Urbisgut. We enjoyed the friendly staff and welcoming family atmosphere throughout the entire time. For us, it was a perfect mix of being active throughout the day -also thanks to the amazing hike and bike recommendations by the staff- and relaxing in the evening with sauna and delicious food. The evenings were well spent on the balcony with a breathtaking view and occasional visitors in form of various birds and game. Even all our special dietary requirements were being catered towards and our bikes had a safe and try spot within the hotel basement. There was nothing else we could have wished for except some additional days of vacation to extend our stay.

Room was very large, clean and comfortable, if a little old fashioned and tired. Breakfast was included, and there was a huge variety of options. The pool/sauna were very clean, and we enjoyed a BBQ from the restaurant in the sunshine. Staff were welcoming and we could park for free. We only stayed a night as break on a long drive, so didn't explore the area.

Altenmark is a small willage, but you can find a lots of shops and restaurants there, but we were so busy that we didnt go. We spend most of the time skiing, Flachau is just 15 min drive. Perfect for kids is aqua therme, swimming pool with big waves, hot water, tobogans etc and for others really great spa, with 5-6 different saunas.

Altenmarkt im Pongau is very nice city with a big numer of restaurants, cafe, hotele, boutiques, sport shops. There were also a few supermarkets.
It was also a possibility to rent a ski even in the city, not only next to slopes.
Altenmarkt is situated very close to Flachau or Radstad - Ski Amade Resort (10 minutes by car).
It was also a cross-country skiing way near to the city but unfortunately there were No signs in the city center How to find it.

Small quiet town with beautiful church, lots of restaurants and hotels. We were in the Urbisgut hotel and it was great. Skibus stops on every part of this town, which is very comfortable. It is easy to go to huge ski-resorts Schladming or Flachau but we recommend smaller ones - Zauchensee or A

Excellent hotel at a good price. Always nice, helpful and smiling staff. Breakfasts are very tasty and you will always find something for yourself. The room is very clean and cleaned every day. Every day the bedding was arranged in a different way which was very nice and fun :) The hotel is well located - close to the center and the ski bus stop.
The staff was amazing, very polite and nice, both in the front desk and in the restaurant .
the breakfast is really good but the dinner is absolutely wonderful. each night a different menu.

Most amazing atmosphere, warm welcoming hosts despite us arriving very late. The hotel and rooms felt like being at home. We will definitely try to visit again staying a longer period. Most highly recommend.
