The pool. And the pool. Did I mention the pool? As European we're traveling off the beaten track to visit this place and the town has not much to offer but this was comfortable place to spend hot afternoon. Cabins are ok and price is good value for money.

The friendliness of the people in La Rioja fortunately did not change.

I stay 6 days in La Rioja.
I stay 6 days in La Rioja. From there I organized trips to different areas. Travelers MUST visit Talampaya in La Rioja province and Ischigualasto (San Juan Province) those are the greatest places were you will see landscape and the fantastic earth evolution. "Valle de la Luna" was amazing. Land of dinosaurs from the triassic era. Absolutelly AMAZING!
With two days in the city of La Rioja, it would be enough to tour the museum and relax. But you will need few more days to tour around, depending on your choice.
A very comfortable space within walking distance of the microcentro of La Rioja, with a good bed, shower, and well equipped kitchen plus a washing machine—a very welcome bonus for those spending longer periods travelling. Also of note was host Ricardo, who's really passionate about his city and region and goes out of his way to answer questions and ensure your stay is a good one.
Very simple hostel but had good air con in the room and wasn't super busy as I don't think many people stop in La Rioja. It's fairly close to the main centre. Staff were helpful when I needed to book a taxi to the bus station.
On arrival, the hotel gives the impression of faded grandeur. However, the staff were helpful, the room was good, the facilities satisfactory and the wi-fi OK. it's about 20 minutes' walk to the centre of town.
Clean, spacious, well located apartment near the centre of La Rioja. The owner is an extremely kind and hospitable person. I recommend this accommodation for visits of La Rioja and of its surroundings.
