Beautiful city and very clean in some parts. Other parts are really filthy with lots of rubbish. The people are friendly, the food isn't bad; sometimes too salty and not spicy enough. The weather is wonderful, sunny but cool. The traffic is unbearable. There are mosquitoes, so come prepared. It's a place I would visit again.

the Beach front restaurants mostly do take Visa/Mastercard and most CBD hotels. but the further you stay/travel outside Luanda most places only take cash(small notes) and local bank cards.

A normal, chaotic big African city - more expensive than most. Relatively safe to walk around downtown during the day; take care at night. If you need to be there for business, it's better than many 3rd world cities. For tourism, not much to see/do in Luanda. Airports are normal: Completely chaotic

Luanda is growing fast transforming into attractive place for visitors and businessmen.
Museums are good enough, but there are only a few of them.
Unfortunately criminal activity is also growing so be careful avoiding be robbed.
The host was friendly, helpful and went out of his way to accommodate for my super late check in. The flat itself is furnished and equipped to a very high standard, the location is perfect to order food and groceries for delivery, the building is safe, and I could go on and on about all the things that I liked about this place but I rather just say that I won't be staying anywhere else in Luanda instead.
The Art House hotel is superb.
From the amazing staff, to the comfortable rooms, excellent meals (I ate breakfast and dinner every day of my 7-day stay) and the interior design with its eclectic collection of local art (all of which is available for purchase) - this hotel is a true gem.
Highly recommended by someone who has lived full-time in hotels for more than 10 years now.
The location of the hotel was good and the staff was so friendly and helpful for any information or help I needed. The rooms were very clean and the laundry service helped me a lot. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Angola.
