The staff were incredibly helpful. The breakfast was insane! I eat a lot and it was able to fill me to the brim. The owner had a chat with us and was insightful and assisted us on our trip. Everything was 10/10, we feel like we got a little taste of Albania while still being treated like 5 star guests.

We had a wonderful time at Aragosta Hotel and Restaurant. We stayed at Aragosta for a week in early September and the weather and beach were lovely! Breakfast is held in the restaurant which is stunning with a great view of the beach. Breakfast itself is also really good, with pastries, fruit, yogurt etc. We really enjoyed the beach loungers and the water was lovely. There are lots of restaurants/cafes within walking distance of aragosta which we really enjoyed. When booking our accommodation in Durres we were looking for somewhere that we could catch up over cocktails and then sun tan on the beach - aragosta was perfect for that :)

Very close to everything you need and want for a few days at the beach. Ana at the front desk is a gem! Breakfast was good with normal options. Our kids had the better room; ours was fine, just a bit smaller room and bathroom.

Durrës is a charming coastal city that offers a perfect blend of history, culture, and beautiful beaches. The vibrant promenade is great for leisurely strolls, lined with shops, cafes, and restaurants. I enjoyed exploring it. The beach is lovely, but it is a bit dirty, and the water seems murky due to the sand. The city lacks sufficient trash bins and is generally dirty, which can detract from the overall experience. I recommend checking the cleanliness of accommodations beforehand, as some places may need improvement. Overall, Durrës is a lovely destination for a getaway, but attention to cleanliness is important. Tirana is very close (30 mins by car) and is a beautiful city; I highly recommend visiting Bunk'Art Museum while you’re there.

We discovered a Great Local restaurant at the East end of the beach towards the port. Emros with daily fresh fish and calamari caught. Hidden among the palms with a lovely beach. The 'Old Town' is more like the new town with Lots of high rise developments. There is a small Beach to the East of the port which is O.K at the far East end. The Main Durres Beach to the West of the port is long and sandy but full of loungers bars & restaurants. The sea is shallow the water clean and clear and good for swimming. So Great if your a Beach Bum. The historical and cultural points of Durres were disappointing. These sites it seems are not highlighted but rather swamped by all the new high rise developments that surround them. The town has two main bus stations North and South connected by a cheap local regular bus service.

Durres is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been...
Durres is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. Beautiful Sandy beach and so many wonderful bars and restaurants to choose from. One of our favourite places to go to is The Fisherman’s Net. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and even remembered us from a previous visit back in April. The food is delicious and I was even asked to sample a new wine for free. Other places include Mediterra Bar and The Grill Father as well as our own hotel Diamond Hotel & Spa which has wonderful friendly staff and serves great food and drinks.

Durres is o.k for a quick visit and a couple days to hang out at the beach 2 nights is enough. The old town is really the New town with Lots of skyscrapers and high buildings apartments etc. Not much of historical Durres is left to admire. Better to stay near Durres beach where we were. Quite far to reach old town by bus then walk around.....looking back I would have just spent my time chilling at Durres beach and enjoying the local bars,fresh fish and eateries among the palms there.

the town is very beautiful, sea water is very clear, very suitable for people with children, because is not deep and is safety, everything is very cheap, people speak english, u can pay via a card almost everywhere, the coffee .. is just amazing- strong, short and .. again very cheap!
we were absolutely blown away with Durres. we picked this stay as it was a 30 minute drive from the airport(Tirana) it was more for convenience as we had never visited Albania and just wanted a convenient stop for our first night. What we found was an amazing Hotel in a beautiful town. absolutely blown away with the room (top floor suite with terrace) the only negative was we only booked for one night!!!
When we entered the hotel we were offered tea and cake. What a friendly reception!
We are travelling in Albania now a couple of weeks but this hotel is by far the star performer until now, really on all levels. The incredible breakfast, a lot of the food homemade, gave our stay the finishing touch. In short: we really enjoyed the place and highly recommend the hotel.
Everything! This was my 1st solo trip to Albania and I could not have had a better place to stay. It made everything so much easier for me. The host was very helpful, friendly, accommodating and so kind. The room was spacious,clean, quiet and close to the beach. I loved staying there and will be definitely recommending to friends who visit Durres!
