We enjoyed despite the cold weather. It was warm and cozy inside, we played the house monopoly, cooked a lovely dinner with the provided kitchenware and felt transported into a funny little world. The amenities are what you need and what is advertised except if you want to host a gala :D

Chalet westerham ligger i Winsum, 16 km från Simplon Music Venue och 17 km från Martini Tower, och erbjuder utsikt över trädgården. The chalet is on a farm, the views all around are amazing - there is unobstructed view towards the fields on one side and the beautiful horses on the other. There is a fireplace in, which warms it up super quickly and adds an unbeatable cozy feel. The chalet is small but you have everything you can possibly need for a few days stay. And the hosts are lovely so I am sure they would accommodate any other reasonable requests. What I loved the most was the company of animals: the horses, the dog, chicks, sheep. There were also a couple of cats who, alas, never came close to me as they were way too busy having fun in the fields, so I just enjoyed watching them from afar. Winsum is beautiful too: the canals, the churches, the houses. No wonder it is rated the most beautiful village in the country. The location is great for a starting point to explore the area: Pieterburen, Groningen, Lauwersoog, the Wadden Islands are very close and so worth visiting.
