It's set on the side of a hill overlooking Hakone, the view frames the gates and Mt Fuji perfectly. It's set in a forest and I startled a deer while taking photos from my balcony in the early morning, majestic! I will be back, totally loved the Hakone region!
Lovely spacious, quiet hotel room next to the airport for easy commute. Shuttle bus service is a great bonus!
Staff were very kind and their hospitality was amazing and the best of all the accommodations we stayed at in our 3 week trip to Asia. The place was very clean and the food served was very good (we ate dinner twice, but not the breakfast). Given most local restaurants close early, it was very convenient to be able to have dinner at the guest house. The onsen that you can book is private and relaxing. Free shuttle to Gora station really helped each morning given that the location was a bit off the main road.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The common area is pleasant with a nice view over the garden. It is very handy that the hotel offers a menu at night, because it's a bit far from other restaurant options. The free shuttle service to Gora Station is also very handy, because otherwise you have to climb a lot of stairs, don't even think of it with a suitcase. The onsen baths are very enjoyable and for a very cheap price (150 yen/person/day), you can book a time slot of 40 min.

Everything was good. Shuttle service worked very well in a scattered area. Super friendly and helpful staff. We received extra services without any additional charge.
The location was a 5 minute free shuttle from Gora Station, Hakone which was a bonus. Hubby and I loved Happy Hour every night around the fireplace, after a hard day of walking at the local tourist attractions. LOL. Gora was a beautiful place to visit. Breakfast was amazing and I would stay there again. Food and cocktails were Oishii.

Go here for the atmosphere. The wooden capsules you sleep in made me feel a child again, given permission by his mum tot sleep in the wooden hut he built. I loved it. Surrounded by backpackers with stories to tell, with a small, cozy cafe and on the quiet edge of town, I would definitely go here again. Recommended.
True to the photos, Gorgeous garden (very zen), good lounge area with fireplace, very clean (which I appreciated), private use of onsen for 50 mins (reserve on check in) They have a shuttle to Gora in the morning (9, 10, 11am) - makes it convenient to go around.
