Robyn was available from beginning to the end-to open the gate for us, give us local food recommendations, make sure we had everything we could in spite of an unscheduled power outage. The kitchen was well stocked and the hot water shower was very welcome

The experience is private and personal.
Host is very welcoming and provided excellent service. Unit is self catering and well equipped, even provided necessary soap tablets for the dishwasher. Has a good variety of board games and even firewood was provided.
Fishing for bass in the dam was successful.
It is great that the unit is also off the grid and gardens are well maintained.
Unit closely situated to nearby towns for additional supplies, and is a short drive to a number of hiking trails.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

Bashir was great and assisted us with check in and explaining the setup. Great location in the mountains. From the outside the wooden cabins look great and appealing. Games room was superb for the kids.
The unit we stayed in is not the unit featured on this link. We stayed in a little wooden cabin with 3 bedrooms, although there were only two of us.
The location is perfect and not too far from town,
The cottage was quaint, private, very comfortable and exceptionally clean. It had everything we needed.
We were pleasantly surprised and will definitely be back.
Beautiful and tranquil location.
I enjoyed very much using the fireplace during a stormy evening. Cozy chalet with a great view.
Very attentive host! We really appreciated his service.
The place.....clean and peaceful... Its very cold in winter, bring addition blankets and a electric or gas heater......no fireplace as its a wooden cabin.
The VIEWS were incredible! Some of the best in the Berg. We loved the cabin, it was cosy and quaint. The position on the dam was wonderful with stunning views. We enjoyed the fire place and the little wooden deck. There were games to play for our daughter as well, which was great. We thoroughly loved the vibe and the peace and quiet!
No Breakfast but the location is good and close to Drakensburg Gardens. Chalets are basic but comfortable but missing a fireplace in winter. We enjoyed our stay.
Giantscup was perfect for a real destress! The surroundings were beautiful, the lodge was amazing and my only regret is that we didn't stay longer.
The owner, Wolf Avni was so hospitable and made us feel so at home. He even sent through a hot loaf of freshly made bread and their trout patè. It was a wonderful touch.
The hiking trail was amazing and highly recommended.
The cabin we stayed in had a lovely fireplace that we used almost everyday because of the weather.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and can't wait to go back!
