Always love our overnights at Midlands Forest Lodge! Been there a few times and will go back again. The most comfortable beds ever. Thank heavens for the fan, as it was an unusual hot weekend in the Midlands. Love Midlands Forest Lodge!
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
It was peaceful and quiet.
The fact that there are only 4 x 2 sleeper chalets is a plus as it’s more private.
Chalets over look the river and the sound of the river was beautiful
Brilliant location on a picturesque bend of the Lion's River adjoining the historic Cotswold Estate. The chalets were roomy, clean and light. Interior decor was detailed and impressive. The location places one centrally for drives into The Dargle and Meander. Stan was a great host
The views from the front verandah are absolutely awesome!! The game wander around at times quite close to the chalet!
The living area of the chalet is a lot bigger than the photos depict!!
Charcoal and ample firewood and fire lighters were supplied!!
The fireplace in the lounge worked extremely well.
The whole chalet was exceptionally clean!!
Lovely fresh air and wonderfully quiet!!
The owner was very helpful. He gave us the run down on the property walks and what the highlights in the area were. The owners also adopt cats from around the world, saving them from their death beds, these cats are on the property. We stayed in the copper chalet. It was well equipped for the cold front that hit. Having the jacuzzi bath in the room is such a highlight. The room was super clean. I loved that they left the keys in our room, we didn't have to collect it at reception, great for an introvert.
