The place was pristine and the host went the extra mile to make our stay great, there was an welcome bottle of wine and chocolate plus they got us flowers as it was my partners special day. The bathtub upstairs was romantic.
For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
The staff was friendly, rooms clean and offered more kitchen utensils than I have ever seen. The location of the cabins in front of the lake and the sound of the river flowing in the property was simply amazing. I recommend for anyone wanting to experience nature at it best.
I loved the scenic views from the log cabin. Very cosy and comfortable for a couple. Staff was really friendly. Enjoyed the hike at the Magoebaskloof Getaway Hiking Trail (very scenic and safe). Closer to most attractions. Overall a wonderful experience.
Peaceful log cabin on the dam. I can imagine it's busy during peak periods but I stayed during the week and it was serene! The cabin on the dam was extremely well equipped for self catering, and a gas stove, gas geyser and emergency light meant that loadshedding was barely an issue. Wifi inside the cabin was good too. Great place to wander around with my dog but not a lot of space in terms of walking.
