Absolutely phenommenal place! Super nice host, great, clean place, amazing chickens running around and superb, quiet countryside location. This place is basicially in the middle of every main central Holland attraction, Amsterdam, Den Haag and Rotterdam, Utrecht, Gouda and Leiden as well as all the best tulip fields and windmill spots. The chalet was the perfect chill spot on the beach of the North Sea! The food at the restaurant was delicious, the beer was fantastic, and the staff were amazing!! One of the best destinations we’ve been to so far!

We appreciated that the host provided towels on learning that it was difficulty to bring them in our luggage. It was perfect for doing our time adjusting, getting to the beach was easy, and walking in the dunes was great if a little rainy. Took a little experimenting to understand the lighting of the gas stove but it all worked. The open shower concept was a novelty. If you're looking for luxury, this is not the place for you. It's a comfortable small cottage, kind of like a tiny house.
For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
Excellent location with a good shuttle connection to the research center. At the beach side, in the summer it must be excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast had a large variety, but not spectacular. Overall, good stay, I recommend to everyone.
