Firstly the place is a hidden gem amidst mountains. The host is super helpful and always available. He goes the extra miles to make your stay comfortable. He provided us with great breakfast every day, and his house had all the amenities, including the kitchen, more than expected. This was important for me as we were cooking and traveling with kids.
We everyday were visiting Cinque Terre and this place was just a 45-minute drive and the entire route was very scenic. This is a perfect option if you want to visit Cinque Terre and avoid the crowd, high stay prices, and parking.
Overall my family loved this place and I would highly recommend this place.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The location is excellent, the staff were very kind and helpful, In the evenings they shut the office door so you have peace at night. The nights we were there it was a big soccer game but the sound proofing in the night from the main restaurant area we could not hear anything which was great. We did the cooking class Stefano recommended it was pricey but all and all a good class and many hours spent preparing delicious meals so was a good experience.
The room has a huge balcony overlooking the sea which is beautiful. Parking was convenient too. And the shuttle bus stop is just 50m away from the hotel.
Gorgeous view, absolutely amazing. Cozy place to buy some food and watch the sunset. Clean and good wifi signal even at the lowest chalets. Catch your breath because if you get a low apartment like we did you have to climb a lot of stairs hahahaha
It was close to the centre.
It was clean and comfortable.
Had tea and coffee.
The shower was awesome. Great water pressure.
Double glazed windows and shutters.
Host Giacomo was an awesome host.
Great location at the top of the main street in Riomaggiore. Very quiet when shutters were closed, not affected by any noise from activities in the street below. Great balcony overlooking the town, lovely place to relax
We were actually very dissapointed with this apartment. Pictures were showing totally different standard and rooms with nice, sea view. Our apartment was in front of another tall building plus there was scaffolding on our building and we couldnt even open the window nor the shutters- so it was dark in the whole apartment the whole day ;/ The kitchen was nasty, super old toster and other divices. Also it smells bad in the apartment. I think it needs to be refurbished. Definately too expensive for this standard!!!!
This place is located approximately 4 km away from Riomaggiore, but there is a shuttle bus that goes almost every hour from Riomaggiore to Borgo di Campi. The bus is free if you have the Cinque Terre card. Exactly 1 min away from it starts one of the hiking trails that will connect you to the trail to Porto Venere, which is amazing. The views from the gardens are indescribable. The best would be to bring your own food. Lovely place!
Really welcoming and friendly. Very helpful with messages and questions
The INCREDIBLE breakfast!
The view and terrace from the room
The peaceful location, away from the busy
The well stocked mini bar
The included shuttle service
