Excellent value for money.
The room was immaculate. The views were fantastic and Hele even let us check in early. This was a lifesaver as we needed to get changed for a wedding.
Was lovely seeing animals walk around in the open as well. It's a shame we had so little time there.
Will come again for sure.

Lovely location, and getting back to nature. The hut was lovely and clean with plenty of logs for the burner which kept us warm all night.

We loved how romantic and peaceful it was, our first weekend away for a very long time without any children at a much needed time. The place was magical! Sitting in the hot tub looking at the stars was just exceptional. Sitting outside just taking in the peace and quiet and toasting marshmallows was amazing!!

It was very cozy, gorgeous views and lovely location. Close enough to beautiful sights but just far enough to enjoy a stay away from ‘real life’. Cabin had everything we needed and more, had everything we could’ve imagined.

Good location and reception staff very helpful. Facilities not open at this time of year so difficult to review those. It seems to be a lovely site and I imagine it would be lovely in the summer. The unit we stayed in was privately-own and not the responsibility of the site owners. It was of a reasonable size with two double beds and a large living area. There is also an outside decked area with seating although it was very slippery.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The exceptional thing at this hotel was the care and attention of the staff. Otherwise as this is an old building with twisting corridors I was surprised to find such a lovely bedroom with many extras eg a radio and inside shutters on the windows to keep out traffic noise.
What a place! Stayed here for 2 nights and we wasn’t disappointed 😀 we stayed in the shepards hut with our own hot tub and it was unbelievable so peaceful and amazing views in a perfect location. Excellent hosts who gave us a hamper on arrrival with local milk, egg, fresh bread, butter and jam etc plus give you all information about local pubs, shops, walks etc (the raven pub has excellent food 👌🏻) We will definitely be back from T and F 😀
The location of the Shepherd's huts overlooked the sweeping landscape with only wildlife for the company.
There is no white noise from traffic. Amazing.
Hosts were on hand, but only if you needed them.
The surprise hamper was a lovely gesture.
Accommodation was spotless.
We loved our weekend away and honestly did not want to leave this beautiful place.
The owners have worked extremely hard to achieve what they have with all of their accommodation onsite.
We will definitely return, and we don't normally say that.
A delightful little cabin beautifully fitted out by Michele and Tim. We were very comfortable and found it an excellent location for what we wanted to do especially Powys castle which is just round the corner. We arranged for a continental breakfast on each of the mornings of our stay which were delicious. Just go and chill and enjoy the lovely countryside and in May watch the young lambs jumping and playing in the adjoining fields. We loved it and if in the area will certainly be back.
Everything, the cabin is done up to a high standard with lovely furnishings and decor, very clean. Location you cannot fault it, if you want to get away this is the place for you. Nothing better than watching the little lambs jumping around in the morning. Welcoming hosts, cannot recommend enough.
