The lodge location was perfect, pub 5 minutes walk and tourist attractions and the coast a short drive away. The Lodge itself was so clean, comfortable and quiet with its own outdoor space and stunning sunset view from upstairs.

Everything. Had all we needed for the 3 of us. All the staff so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Did the onsite activities and the instructor Stuart was superb with our son. Add in the animals and it was perfect. So much so we have booked to go again!

Well the hobbit house itself was gorgeous inside and out, all of the smaller details that were on and around the house were beautiful and fresh flowers for the outhouse toilet was a lovely touch.

The location is stunning! Peaceful and beautiful, the sound of the river and slight waterfall sound was idyllic. Although the property is small, it had a homely natural feel. lovely seating with a fire pit (thank you for the marshmallows!) We didn’t use the fire pit but this was because we were attending a Halloween party at our friends who live nearby. The natural space around the lodge is big and lovely - great for children to play!
The drive up to the lodge is beautiful too and we saw horses which is a massive plus when you have children who love animals! We didn’t meet the parrot at the lodge but we went onto Runwell Farm for breakfast and had a nice treat of dining with the beautiful blue and yellow parrot!

The lodge was very modern and had everything we needed for our last minute trip. We needed somewhere close to family and the accommodation and provisions made our trip feel a bit easier. Lovely location, peaceful, felt remote without being too far out in the middle of nowhere!

Loved the horses on the field outside our hut and the lake and the swans lovely picturesque was great would definitely recommend this place was perfect .
Kate and Joe have thought of everything! What a wonderful two nights we spent at their shepherds hut. We loved the hot tub, the fire pit, the deck areas, the comfy bed, seeing the horses, goats and sheep!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Location excellent and when M5 shut on our way home from Cornwall we stopped in and they let us book breakfast, cheaper than service stations. Cheap petrol next door as well. Would use again. Rooms very very clean as well.
Everything was great. You arrive, get the keys from a locker and access your cabin. Then it's up to you to enjoy yourself or not. In the middle of nature and under bare skies, it was a quiet place to get off the M6 (while motorbiking up to The Lake District) and have a rest. I never got to see the hosts or anybody else for that matter. When I was done, I left the key in the locker and continued my journey. I had a well-deserved rest after riding up from Land's End.
All of it. Beautiful, clean, well equipped shepards hut. What a great place for a peaceful break. We lived it all. The fire pit was a gorgeous touch, too, along with a bag of marshmallows. We had everything we needed for our night away. It was a little peace of heaven for the night.
