For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The check-in went very well, very prompt and efficient. The room was in an outside block away from the market square, so very quiet. The room was very good, although we had to be careful of low wooden beams! The bathroom was clean as was the room. The young barman was really, really good - he'll go far! Nice fire in the bar.
We had a lovely room at the end of the courtyard. Very comfy large bed and a nice big room with wooden beams across the ceiling. Breakfast (not included) was excellent and very good value. Staff were really friendly throughout the hotel. Fantastic location right in the middle of Masham and very cheap parking (Honesty box) right outside the hotel.
A self contained chalet at the rear of the hotel so peaceful no noise at all. I thought Premier Inn did the best breakfast around, but you have NEVER seen a breakfast like the Kings Head in Masham huge, and very tasty. Evening meal prepared freshly and very tasty. Excellent staff everyone very friendly and kind. The bar was very much to my liking, a great selection of cask (real ale) beer at a reasonable price.
