Peaceful setting, lovely welcoming host. The Shepherd’s Nest was spotlessly clean, and smelt amazing on arrival. We were greeted by Carol, there was everything we could need, including fresh juice, butter, bread and conserves, which we enjoyed for supper.
We ate at a nearby pub, then came back and enjoyed sitting in the warm sunshine, as the sun then set the cows moved closer, and were still outside the Hut, when we woke.
Just the finish we needed to a busy few days previous, exploring Somerset, before we continued our journey to family in Dorset.

Setting, the accomdation, the freedom for young children to explore. Each of the accomdations was exactly how I'd hoped. There were 20 of us all split but the accomdations were within minutes walking distance of each other. We stayed for the whole weekend but on the Saturday had a party at the showmans which was a perfect end to the weekend, many happy memories shared by everyone in a perfect setting. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of staying 💙

So comfy and clean. We opened the French doors out onto an enclosed garden. The birds were singing and it was idealic.
The facilities were clean and of a very high speck.
The bed was very comfy and we both slept so well.
As far as we were concerned everything had been thought about. We loved the whole experience and would visit again that's for sure.

The supplies provided were very adequate. We had some of our own to use up. We would have preferred to be able to cook an evening meal, but there were no hot plates. The microwave provided discs not suit what we had to cook.
The room was quiet when the windows were shut, but the busy road made it difficult to sleep. We prefer open windows for extra ventilation.
