A very unique stay in a safari tent in the French countryside. Clean and comfortable bathroom to use and a small kitchen where breakfast was served. A selection of games were available to use - both indoor and outdoor. Lots of additional bedding available should it get cold in the tent (it didn’t). A very relaxing stay.
Laure is a very welcoming and helpful host, making suggestions for dinner and routes for both bike rides and drives to see villages in the Loire region.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
This would likely be a very nice place to visit in the summer, when the pool and indoor spaces are fully open and if you are not disturbed in a poorly insulated chalet by noisy neighbours and heavy rain.
It is simple to walk into town from the property, which has a great vibe and lots of cafés, bars, and restaurants.
There is also a Spar nearby for necessities.
The balcony and shutters are great, it's very peaceful despite being close to town.
Really nice and clean. Breakfast certainly worth it. My youngest is a fussy eater but even she ate. Good choice. Beds comfortable but pillows could have done with more. Excellent location. Didn't try the restaurant as it was shut. Sunday in August. Plenty of takeaway nearby. Pizza fresc? Near old Bridge next to river. Excellent value. Lovely pizza and kebab
The location was fab, and the apartment was really lovely and had everything we needed for our stay. Great sized rooms, super comfy beds, blackout shutters and the balcony was a bonus.
Lovely convenient location. Place looks so characteristic and atmospheric. Absolutly love the little garden and wooden floors and small touches of nostalgia. Will definitly stay again. Host is friendly and super helpful and nice.
Our host Marlène was so helpful and lovely. The whole building was so delightful, including our little wooden door across the window into the light well / stairwell. Although the room is small, it was very carefully and well fitted out to be very comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was quite large with a great shower.
It was great that we could order breakfast for the next morning. I also liked the little garden area outside each of the chalets. The park was lovely for the kids too, and very close to the lake
