Positives: stunning location, cute cabin and well stocked kitchenette, I slept on the sofa/futon which was reasonably comfortable, great smoke/wood sauna with plenty of wood, buckets, and changing area even has windows to see the lake! there’s a dock to swim from if you’re interested. Quiet secluded area but you can drive to Mikkeli in a short time. Make sure to wake up at 4am in summer and observe the pristine, glassy water snd early morning sunrise. Also the sunsets are spectacular!

Location, peace, hospitality. The cottage is beautifully located on the side of Lake Saimaa. The cottage is fully furnished and equipped with all sorts of kitchen appliances that you need for a stay with family. Outdoor barbecue and grill facilities were great, too. Sauna was an added bonus. Rowboat was present and can be used. Shallow beach present where children can play safely. Quite spacious apartment with 2 beds in different rooms ( pillows and blankets). Bedsheets, pillow cover and duvet cover can be requested from the owners. They were not provided. Towels, too. But all these are mentioned while booking. The owners were very kind and generous. They showed us places to pick berries, and Paulina herself picked berries with us from her own farm. We got mushrooms and apples as a farewell gift. Due to the location and hospitality, we will certainly visit this place again.
