The owner drove a 400k round trip to do maintenance even though there we're only 2 people on site, me in a cabin and a caravan. Comfy cabin and tidy facilities
We stayed in a cabin which was very well equiped and super clean. It was warm and located next to a beautiful lake. It makes for a good base for Koli park and the lakes.
The view across the frozen lake was fabulous and we loved the sauna hut and living room area on the shore. Staying in the Aurora hut at this time of year felt like being part of a futuristic arctic expedition. It was warm and comfortable inside. The toilet was an interesting experience that required alcohol before use; you will need to be comfortable with your travel companion!

The chalet was difficult to find, but we were lucky to meet the owner: she told us kindly how to reach the chalet.
However, we had a very good stay.
AuroraHut was compact enough for two people. The short rowing trip to the accommodation brought a sense of peace and was a fun addition to the transition to the accommodation. Little terrace with deckchairs was nice, it was great for taking a dip in the morning for a swim. I think the level of equipment was sufficient, you could enjoy breakfast on your own sunny terrace.
The cabin was very spacious, clean and nicely renovated. The location was suberb. Really beautifull lake side and really easy to get to and visit the Koli center.
