We fell in love with Marika's house. Lost in nature, a magical and peacefull place. Waking up in silence, with the lake and forest was priceless! The house was cozy and perfect in every detail, waking up with fresh snow and birds was amazig. We loved sauna and fireplace most! Kitchen is really well equiped. Marika is a super host! Always patient and kind with us, really fast and precise in communication and in answer us. She gave us a lot of information to visit the surrounding too! Thank you so much, we'll bring this stay in our memories for a long time. Hoping to come back some day :)

Great accommodation in all respects! An incredible quiet and beautiful natural place is located in a secluded corner in the forest on the shore of a swampy lake. Blueberries, mushrooms and a lot of pine trees grow everywhere. I'm thirsty for the local air. Everything in the house is thought out to the smallest detail and everything is very conveniently located. There is a pleasant aroma in the house. I was especially pleased with good wi-fi, a cozy wood-burning stove and a sauna. Also, the owners provide an excellent filter coffee maker and freshly ground aromatic coffee in a brimming jar. All day long, especially in the morning, squirrels and different types of birds came to us, for which there was a treat here. One day a handsome deer came to the house. Hiking trails lead directly from the house to the forest, along which we enjoyed walking for many hours. If you go from the house directly bypassing the swamp, you can climb the hill. Be sure to visit the swamp on foot, it's just a matter of jumping from hummock to hummock, but you need to wear all-terrain shoes. A distance of about two kilometers on the shore of another very large and beautiful lake (but not Lake Inari), the owners have their own rowing boat, which they provide to guests for free, and we took advantage of these with pleasure and devoted one of the evenings to fishing. To get to it, you need to walk through the picturesque forest for about 30 minutes or drive by car in five minutes. The owners take care of the surrounding nature and make separate garbage cans. At first we stayed here for two nights on the way from Norway, but we liked it so much that we extended our stay for another extra day. We really hope to return here one day, for example, in winter. Silja & Mathieu have been very kind and helpful in every moment of our stay. The place is amazing and the lodge is so cozy, the lake is few steps from the lodge and we went several times to have fun with our children. From the windows of the house we could see event the aurora! But the best place to see aurora was the lake, no lights to disturb us..it was wonderful! The lodge has everything you need for cooking, even spices! It is surrounded by nature but it is also near Inari's center. We enjoyed a lot our stay, we really recommend this accomodation!

The hosts are very friendly and helpful. The property is perfect to enjoy a relaxing time in the nature. It is the perfect spot. We were able to spot the northern lights right at the cottage. The facilities are cozy and nice. The picture description is totally in line with the facility. The cottage offered everything we needed. Kitchen fully equiped for quick meals during the day.

The location on the island surrounded by the frozen lake is superb. We loved the cottage with all its amenities (hot shower, sauna, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable couch, fire place) and the lovely veranda where we had our morning coffee watching the sun rise. The remoteness, silence and beautiful light make it a magical place, it was breathtaking. In addition, Jonas and Matt are great hosts, reliable and friendly. We did a snowshoe hike with Jonas and he is a great guide as well, knowledgeable, helpful and funny. We are looking very much forward to stay there again!

The view from the lake is great. The bathroom is good. It is clean. They open the roads for car and walk. The breakfast in the main hotel is good and also the dinner. The staff in the main hotel’s restaurant was kind and helpful.

Great location in the wilderness. Very cosy hut with a stove. Exactly what you need when you want to escape the city. Super friendly owners who shown us the place, huskies and gave us tips for some hiking trips around. And also the morning breakfast was great. Honestly we were a bit sad that we had to go only after one night. Just a heads up - the hut has only the chem toilet and there is no shower but thats a part of being in the wild. Just be prepared for it 😉
