For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The location was fantastic the cabin was very clean with a washing machine and dryer which was a surprise. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly and helpful with great service and the food was amazing!
We stayed in the Peninsula cabin and were blown away by the apartment, fireplace (heater) and facilities. Who knew so much luxury existed at a holiday park! The cheeky birds “helped” us pack and while some people may complain, they need to stop feeding the wildlife! We had a blast - just remember to keep the door closer for those visitors!
A fantastic holiday park with a huge variety of accommodation and a spacious, leafy atmosphere. We stayed in a waterview cabin, which was very comfortable and slightly removed from the main camping area. The sites seemed to be well set up, with a fair bit of space between them which is not always the case. The many communal cooking and fireplace areas were a bonus.
Cosy yet modern wooden cabins by the beach. Loved listening to the lapping waves from the wooden deck.
Lodge area also has some really nice facilities including a good modern restaurant, good children's playground and also easy access to a nice sandy pristine beach.
This was the first time we stayed at a Holiday Park. It’s an amazing experience. Port Arthur Holiday Park absolute exceeded our expectations. The Peninsula cabin was modern and spacious, very homey with a large kitchen; nice and warm bedrooms; we were surprised to see a big bathtub in the bathroom. A great fireplace kept the living room cosy and warm. The location is great. We were able to visit a few attractions with a short drive.
We will be back.
