Spacious rooms and places. House is in the center next to a lake and with summer card it's free for entry. Thanks to the summer card we saved more money having used cable cars, alpine roads etc. There are numerous restaurant near at hand by walk. Very welcoming, conveniently located within walking distance to a small town including small supermarket, restaurants and bars.
Helmut was friendly and knowledgeable about local culture and leisure activities available, providing us with numerous leaflets on arrival. He was happy to advise us throughout our stay of places to visit or eat, also rang a restaurant on our behalf to check availability for a table. He speaks German and excellent English too.
The room was comfortable, clean and modern yet traditional. Clean towels were supplied but sadly no handwash. The bed was very comfortable, just the right amount of support, I slept well. The property is set back for the main road , some people have commented that they found the road noisy but personally it didn’t disturb myself or my husband, even when the window/patio door was ajar.
It was lovely to be waited on by Helmut at breakfast, very traditional cuisine of salamis and cheeses, yogurts, fresh berries and homemade syrups.
We found that the property was an excellent base to explore the culture and outdoor leisure of Austria. I have already recommended holidaying here to friends, so Helmut expect more English visitors soon.

We enjoyed a lovely holiday in Bad Mittendorf. House is luxurious and superclean, excellent communication with the host, and the locality is great. So many opportunities for cycling, swimming and hiking! Very nice restaurants nerby.

Excellent location for crosscountry skiing or downhill skiing - part of the family did this - the swimming pool was just 1 minute from the house, nice view of the mountains. Kind hosts, if there was one request from us they solved it in 30 minutes time. We loved it

The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring the area. Tauplitzalm, Hallstadt, and even Salzburg are close by. The house and the kitchen are very well equipped, according to the pictures, everything corresponds to reality. The host is very kind and communicative. Although the house is located next to a busy main road, due to the noise insulation, we didn't notice any of this - except when we had dinner on the terrace.
For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.
The house is beautiful. Our room was very clean and comfy and had a beautiful wooden balcony with a nice view.
I loved the traditional Austrian design style.

An outstandingly friendly stay in Bad Mitterndorf! The breakfast was amazing: self-made bread and jam every day, very big rooms, always so clean and the family owned place is exceptionally friendly and organized in addition to all that. All sport possibilities are not far away, be it the ski-shuttle stop to Tauplitz for skiing or hiking in summer or just the cross-country-skiing start. Also there is a thermal resort not far away, reachable by foot and the train station is even closer.

Wonderful host, great scenery, very close to ski shuttle station, very quiet and cosy rooms. The appartment is well equipped with everything you need for the kitchen, washing clothes, wifi, tv, drying the ski gear at the end of each day. Warmly recommed this place, we’d love to return
Brand new apartment on upper floor, huge balcony with outdoor furniture, windows had bug screens and electric shutters. Apartment was very tastefully furnished and equipped with everything what was needed. Wifi worked well, 2 TVs. The ambience was modern, bright with full view of the Grimming. We will come back, it was very pleasant. Both hosts were welcoming and helpful.
The hotel is in picturesque place!!! Wooden style which is very stylish. The receptionists are friendly and English speaking. The cuisine was very delicious and diverse.
