The location of MONDI in Grundlsee is very convenient - we took a day trip to Hallstatt which was just 30 minutes drive, and another day we drove the panoramic route to Loser Altaussee. The MONDI resort staff were very welcoming and friendly - my husband and I are American and English speaking and the staff was always quick to accommodate with a smile. We enjoyed the spa / wellness area each day during our stay - while the steam bath was out of service, we still were able to use the 3 other saunas and the pool. The food was exceptional as well - from breakfast to dinner, we left satisfied and pleased with each meal. They offer a seasonal venison menu and we loved trying new things we don't normally get to eat! The chalets themselves are so charming - our studio had a mini kitchen, supplied with utensils, dishes, and cookware, and a good size refrigerator. The heated floor in the bathroom was awesome, too! Can't say enough great things about our stay.
For active travelers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and with kitchen facilities, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found other places in the world. Characterized by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing vacations.
Great view on the mountains, the whole building is brand new, loved the wooden interior details, big kitchen, big bathroom, very spacious & high ceiling. Loved it!
Apartment was cozy with great fireplace in the middle. Hosts were very kind. Location next to church in the middle of the village was super, everything reachable by foot.
We've had an absolutely amazing stay here. The family is very welcoming and the apartment is very spacious. The beds are great and the kitchen is really fully equipped (including accessories and more than the typical 5 plates/bowls/cups). There are lots of different animals and the wooden playhouse in the garden is great for children. Also, there are many activities not too far away.
Our kids didn't want to go home, they wanted to live here, so I think that says enough!
