Blackball
The rooms at the capsule hotel are fitted with a seating area and a flat-screen TV. Featuring a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, rooms at Blackball Tinyhouses also boast a mountain view. At the accommodation rooms include bed linen and towels. The location was fine and easy to locate. The unit was very well set out and exactly what we wanted. The shower was great. The bed was a delight to sleep on! The Blackball newsletter was a good read. The heater worked efficiently.

We had a confortable stay at this hotel. The bed was very soft and comfortable, and the room was extremely clean. It was well-equipped with a microwave and cookware, making everything very convenient. The breakfast was also delicious, and the host was very friendly. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back!
The location of the accomodation is pretty good and not too far away from the center. From the room you've a directly view to Mt. Cook which is really epic. Our room was spacious and clean and overall it's a super choice for a relatively cheap room inside the Fox Glacier Village. In addition the man at the reception was super friendly and gave us a map and lot of hints what we can do in the area.
Great value for money, $65 for a private room (even with a shared bathroom) in NZ is incredible. If you’re after a private bed for cheap then this is for you. Location is great, right beside the river and close to all of the shops. Staff were nice and friendly

Three things that I enjoy in life - nature, solitude and architecture, and this house had all three! I so admired how the house had a minimal impact on the natural surrounds, and every bit of space had been used so efficiently. A great example of how a house can be functional as well as beautiful. It was situated in a lovely, quiet bush setting and conveniently located next to the Truman Track. A friendly weka also came to say hello. I really loved staying here.
