The amenities are great and the Onsen / communal showers areas is great. Please note users bathe naked in the Onsen as it is tradition. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, curry and soup. For coffee drinkers, your best bet is the machine on the 2nd floor although I found it weak.

The setup in the kitchen/co-working space/lounge area was so lovely - complementary tea and coffee, free beer for 1- 2 hours in the evening, and a lovely social vibe. Lots of people mingling, which is great if you are a solol traveller. The sleeping area was well layed out, lots of space lots of plugs. The most comfortable bed and pillows the way the "pod" is controlled is just genius and made the experience more luxurious. Bathroom facilities were great and very clean. The products in the showers were also great! Would recommend to anyone in Kyoto, have also been told the Tokyo branch is really great too. Close to good metro links for tourist attractions and walking distance to others!

There was almost nobody else at the hotel at the time of our visit. The location had a great access to some major tourist locations and public transport - bus and train.
