Everything was brilliant. Even though there’s no parking, I received an email recommending parking locations close by which made life so much easier and convenient. I didn’t have to spend extra time working out where to park and the recommended car park was cheaper compared to most so it saved me money. Brilliant hotel overall with friendly and helpful staff. Top marks
This is a budget 'no thrills' hotel it met my expectations. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room is basic and quite old and in need of re-furbishment but for what I paid it was good value. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. I had looked at other local national chain hotels, these were three time the price and also charged for parking. Parking is free at The Gables and convenient.
Lovely hotel , conveniently located for New Street International train station and Hippodrome theatre and Bullring , super clean , friendly helpful staff , 😀
Cleanliness, friendly staff, variety of food at breakfast and convenient location for hippodrome theatre.
A cheap hotel , which is in China Town and next to the Bull Ring markets, the Hippodrome and the NT back-to-back houses. It's about half an hour walk to the canal hub area, Centenary and Victoria Squares. It is five minutes from New Street Railway Station. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is clean and economical. There is a good breakfast and they cater for veggies.
I've stayed at the hotel a few times now. The rooms are all en-suite, clean and comfortable; the staff are invariably friendly and helpful and the building itself is a delight. This trip I chose to pay slightly more for a suite which was stylish and spacious. The Barons Court Add is in a convenient yet surprisingly peaceful location, with gardens and off-street car park to the rear. All this - at budget hotel prices. What's not to like? I've already booked my next stay.
Yes, it's a budget hotel, but booking in advance for a Friday night, at only £60, it was a bargain! Conveniently located a short walk from Birmingham centre, the hotel was easy to get to. The hotel itself was no-frills but was clean, the staff were friendly and attentive and made for a good night's sleep.
As it says on the tin, budget hotel. Very clean, great place to lay your head. Friendly staff. They had an ironing room which was great! Continental breakfast available. Close to the city centre, 10 minute walk. Ubers available and very fast and cheap compared to other cities.
If you’re looking for a bargain place to stay with a bed and a shower, then this is the place for you. It literally is budget, but clean, neat, tidy, friendly, convenient and cosy. We love staying here as we literally cross the road and get our flight. The bar and restaurant are also very smart, friendly, and prices for the menu are reasonable too. If you want luxury go round the corner to Novotel but you’ll be paying a lot more too. Things that could be improved: The Toilet flush and the plug sockets are in awkward places.
Room was well-situated on the quiet side of the building. Lockers were in the same compartment as the bed so felt very secure - the lockers contain sockets so you can charge your phone overnight while keeping it locked away just above your head. Compartments have a curtain for privacy. The beds are all on one side of the room so you can have your reading light on without disturbing the other guests too much. The experience feels more like a Japanese capsule hotel than a traditional dorm room - very good considering the price.
